Description
The 7403 is a digital logic integrated circuit that contains four independent 2-input NAND gates with open-collector outputs in a single package. Unlike the standard 7400, the 7403 requires external pull-up resistors, allowing flexible interfacing with higher-voltage systems and wired-AND configurations. Operating from a 5V supply , it is compatible with standard TTL logic levels and is commonly used for logic control, signal gating, level shifting, and driving external loads such as LEDs and relays. Features • Quad 2-input NAND gate configuration • Open-collector outputs for flexible interfacing • Supports wired-AND logic functions • Standard TTL logic compatibility • Single 5V supply operation • External pull-up resistor compatibility • Can interface with higher-voltage circuits • Suitable for driving LEDs and relays • DIP-14 through-hole package • Breadboard friendly design • Reliable TTL switching performance • Useful for logic expansion applications • Supports custom output voltage levels • Ideal for educational and industrial digital systems Tutorials • 7403 74LS03 Quad NAND
