Description
The 74139 is a TTL logic integrated circuit that contains two independent 2-to-4 line decoders/demultiplexers in a single package. Each decoder accepts 2 binary input lines and activates one of four active-low outputs based on the input combination. With independent enable inputs , each decoder section can be controlled separately, making the 74139 ideal for address decoding, memory selection, signal routing, and digital control applications. Operating on a standard 5V TTL supply , it is widely used in embedded systems, microprocessor interfaces, and digital electronics projects. Features • Dual 2-to-4 decoder architecture • Two independent decoder/demultiplexer sections • Active-low output configuration • Independent enable inputs for each section • Standard TTL logic compatibility • Single 5V supply operation • Fast switching performance • Suitable for address decoding • Useful for signal routing and demultiplexing • Reliable digital logic operation • DIP-16 through-hole package • Breadboard-friendly design • Easy PCB integration • Ideal for digital control systems Tutorials • DECODER: 74139 IC 2:4 Decoder
